The Tanakh (Old Testament) is rich with treasures of teaching about the Messiah and about God’s Plan of Salvation. Yeshua taught about Himself from the Tanakh (Luke 24.27). The Messianic message in the Tanakh is important in order to reach out to the Jews.
Each week all over Israel, specific portions of the first five books of Moses (known as the ‘weekly Torah Portion’ or ‘Parashat Hashavua’ in Hebrew), are being read in the synagogues and local communities. This book goes over each and every one of those portions and pointing out, reveals and teaches the Messianic content that is found in this specific weekly Torah portion.
Our desire is to help people of Jewish background find the Messiah and understand God’s plan of salvation in the Old Testament and thus find the Jewish roots of the Messianic faith and identify with it.
We also want to equip the local communities in a resource that will help them share the Gospel in an authentic way with Jews in general and specifically with orthodox Jews. This teaching is also important to equip Messianic Jews, especially the young ones, with apologetic knowledge to defend their faith in the environment that they live here in Israel.
